On the client, create a c:\temp directory, and set a HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogClientStream=1 (DWORD), then reproduce the problem and post the c:\temp\stream.log file, and I'll take a look.

Assuming I entered the registry setting correctly (screenshot attached) I'm not getting a file produced in the temp directory. FYI there was no NPVR key at HKLM\Software. Should there have been? I had to make one.

Got it. I reread my original post and see I failed to mention my OS! 7 Home Prem 64.

This wont change anything, but will add some more logging. Please reproduce and repost the stream.log.

Are you sure that file didn't change anything?? I cannot reproduce problem now It seems fixed !?!?!

I will monitor it for a while and report back if any problems occur.

Approximately how long do channel changes take for you, and what type of TV signal are you watching?

Channel changing is quick! Analog cable.

Great. It was fast here on DVB-S and DVB-T, but I hadnt checked analog.

Channel change times for client PCs were previously pretty slow, and prone to your original problem, so I think these patches were definitely a step in the right direction.
