Just as my new npvr box goes live, the damn PSU has blown up.
To keep the household happy I have resurected the gbpvr box but in the changeover I went from
STB>pvr150 to a satellite tuner and cccam running on my NAS and this worked a treat and was so simple to do on npvr.

The question is - is it the same or much more involved with gbpvr? I can't see much written and never got into the black art in gbpvr days.

It's more complicated in GBPVR, relying on a 3rd party multidec layer, and would only work with a maximum of one encrypted channel at a time (no multi-record, or multiple devices doing multidec).

MixMan had written a help page on it: http://www.hyperlinkx.com/pmwiki/pmwiki....s.MultiDec

Thanks for taking the time to get the info. One channel would be enough as it would substitute for PVR150 + STB.

Of all the machines to blow a PSU it had to be the one that my spares won't do the job <sigh>
Thanks again.

Just to answer the title of this thread. YES, it is just as easy to get it going on gbpvr as on npvr.

I just unrar'd acamd0620 to mdplugins, copied mdapifilter and added a line to my nas/server and it "just worked".

Thanks for the help.
