xbox360 client?

Can an XBOX360 be used as a client(and with live TV)?
A buddy of mine is considering switching over from WMC.
I personally haven't touched my xbox or ps2 since they became superceded so I'm not very familiar with thier capabilities.
If so how would he do this?

No, not in the same sense as natively supported devices like the NMT extenders.

You can probably set it up to play recordings though, via a share or UPNP server.
