For some reason my client has picked up a bug where when either when watching live tv, or a recording, pressing play just results in a black screen. I have to esc and play again to get picture and audio.
During the black screen I can see the HDD light ticking over so it's streaming something, and I can't see any errors in the logs; The stream is just not making it to the display.
Have tried changing video and audio decoders, and renderer, and re-registering all filters, but with no change.
My other client is working fine (and this one used to), so presume it's not the server.
Any ideas?

I would have guessed something about the decoders, but it sounds like you've already tried other decoders.

If its a client, maybe something to do with firewall software?

Same here.
Looks like playback simply wont start by itself, small skip and it play.

Only happend with .TS media. Must be something in NPVR (?resume?). Graph is created OK.

All my TS files are MPEG+2 and i am using LAV audio decoder + PDVD11 (DXVA on) decoder on WinXP (VMR9FSE renderer).

I also get this but only the first time after starting the app. After that it works fine. Not tried the "skip" trick, i normally exit to the guide and then select again.

Still often fails for me in the latest version. "Quit" then "Resume" always works always works for me but "Skip" does not".

Skip does work on mine if you wait for a second or two before pressing.
Problem only occurs on xp machine - win7 ok, but of course there are other differences between the two other than os.
