After turning the TV on last Friday evening there was a dialog saying âNDigitalHost.exe has encountered a problem and needs to closeâ. A recording was scheduled at that time so I assume that the dialog appeared when the recording started.
The machine has two tuners, a Nova HD S2 for DVB-S and a Nova TD Stick for DVB-T. When I go to play live tv from the Nova S2 the same dialog appears with sometimes a picture appearing for about a second, although I can play one of the DVB-T channels ok. Using WinTV 7 Iâm able to see channels from either card with no problems.
So far Iâve tried:
- A reboot
- RegisterFilters.bat
- Reinstall NPVR 2.4.3 over the top of the existing
The NRecord log gives the error:
2012-06-17 12:23:47.781 [ERROR][16] Unexpected stopping remote stream: System.Runtime.Remoting.RemotingException: Failed to write to an IPC Port: The pipe is being closed.
Unfortunately the logs seems to have lost the entries for Friday evening around 22:00 when the original problem occurred but on looking at the time I noticed one of them saying something like â[something] is taking way too longâ
Im using the SAF codec pack which was installed about three weeks ago, and its running Windows XP.
Iâve attached the logs where the problem was duplicated on 17th June at 18:34, and a jpg of the original error.
Cheers
