Speed improvements vs experimental support

It looks like a 'release' version of XBMC might solve some change time woes?

I compiled a version for myself and didn't see any drastic improvements, and it didn't fix the freeze on the HDPVR which is my biggest issue. It is certainly not going to bring it down to the 1-2 second range that some users seem to be looking for.
