Hi all,

Right now I'm testing GBPVR alongside a few other apps so I don't have my HTPC hooked up through my television yet. I have a WinTV PVR 150 and a Sigma Designs XCard. If I use the XCard for decoding and then set it to use my VGA monitor, it works fine until I attempt to exit the frontend of GBPVR, whereupon I get a black screen and never end up back at the desktop. I do not have this problem with the one other program I know that uses the XCard, TVedia. Does anyone know of a solution? So far, I like GBPVR better, but I'd like to use my XCard as this is a budget PC and it can use every bit of help it can get.

I've never tried the VGA connection on my XCard, but someone else may be able to confirm?

I dont have my XCard in my machine these days, so its not easy for me to test. I only have so many PCI slots...

Hi, yes this is normal. An xcard just goes black when its not used. The PVR350 displays a colour bar. My xcard is now waiting for a new owner on E-Bay [Image: wink.gif]

It may indeed go black, but when I use TVedia (which also supports the XCard) it brings me back to the Windows desktop just fine.

I just got the PVR-150 and XCard so I have been reading alot about them recently.

I could be wrong, but I think this "problem" has to do with the front end software.

I think TVedia mirrors the desktop to the VGA out of the Xcard, but GB-PVR doesn't.

Keep in mind, I could be TOTALLY wrong on this, but somewhere in the foggy corners of my mind I remember reading something to that affect.
