I suspect this may have been answered elsewhere, but no matter how hard I search I can't get anything relevant.

Is there a way to have gbpvr prune 'empty' directories? I've got a lot of directories with no videos actually in them in my recordings directory and I'd prefer once the last video in the directory was deleted that the entire directory was deleted. Mainly because I'm planning on getting some sort of scripted access to the raw mpegs via VLC so I can stream better around the house, and the empty directories will be annoying at that point.

*BUMP*

Nobody? I still haven't found anything useful about this yet. I'm considering writing up a wsh or batch file to try to identify 'empty' directories and remove them manually after each recording. Kinda a hack, but it would at least prune the directories a bit.

Which version are you using and which recordings manager. I'm using 0.91.5 and the standard recordings manager and my directories seem to disappear when the last recording is deleted just like you want.

Either that or I'm imagining things. [Image: smile.gif]

0.90.10

Using standing recordings manager. I could certainly re-install and see if that fixes it.

This is definitely working for me with 0.91.5 - just tried it. I don't remember it doing it with the previous version though.

Good to know, thanks. I may hold off upgrading for a little while; I have to have long periods of perceived stability with the PVR or my wife gets on my case about it not being usable.

Gotta have that for my justification for how much time I spend on it. [Image: biggrin.gif]
