Need Closed Caption Help

I receive North America ATSC over-the-air signals only and would like to get closed captioning working. I would like to give the MainConcepts decoder a try, but I use XBMC PVR Add-on as the client on the same machine. Any idea what I would need to do to get it working with the XBMC NextPVR PVR Add-on?

Has anyone done this? And does it run well?

The MainConcept decoder won't help in XBMC at all. ATSC closed captioning doesn't work in XBMC and it is a know issue in XBMC and ffmpeg and I don't think any developers are working on it. You can search it out on the XBMC forums and add to one of the threads there.

For recordings you can create an SRT file
