cant stream any recordings

Hi great program, have got it working ok, can do basically anything I want, schedule recordings from tv guide etc. but cannot watch anything from recordings screen, I can play all my recordings from the video screen though, it just says "cannot play video" "sorry this video cannot be played" which is pretty much a generic dialog, any suggestions from anyone??
should add this is all on a wifi home network

Cann you try playing some recordings then zip and attach the nDroid Service logs and let me know approx. time of the attempts.

No, not a firewall or router problem - the playback requests are being received by the service streamer and the playback process does actually start but is being terminated by the Android player.

It seems the player app on your Android phone or tablet is deciding it doesn't know how to handle the file content. Which app are you using? That said, I don't know why it would work from Videos but not from Recordings.

...in my case the content (mime) type is invariably blank but I'm really not sure it should make a difference.

I'm a bit stumped really. The first thing I'd say is try another Android media player app and if you still have the same problem, try streaming something from Recordings then when it fails try the same file from Videos - assuming it works from there, stop playback then zip and attach the nDroidServiceStreamer.log so I can compare what happened.

Was using mxplayer and vlc and both fail but will play from video library, got the same result from both my phone and tablet, what players are others using? Im trying to play mpeg 2 transport streams

Others have mentioned Mobo, VPlayer and Diceplayer although I haven't tried any of them. I use MX player which is fine for me.

I got bogged down writing some code last and didn't get a chance to check the playback code used by nDroid TE. I'm pretty sure it should be the same regardless of whether it's playing from Recordings or Videos but your experience suggests otherwise and somebody else has mentioned something similar. I'll check it over.

I'm facing the same problem. I can stream with NDroid TE from videos but not from recordings or Live TV.
The older NDroid app, not NDroid TE, plays everything perfectly and settings for both on my tablet are the same.
Anyone made some progress on this?

Live TV might be a separate problem as it always uses the NextPVR Web Server and I don't have much control over what happens with that.

I'll do some tests with both Live TV and Recordings and see if I can get to the root of the problem.

did anyone ever manage to resolve this? I have this on all my tablets (Samsung and Pipo) using Ndroid TE. Everything works fine when using the older Ndroid app
