Changed the skin to nextblue, but still didn't work.
Thanks martin for your help, but I feel I am wasting your time. I am more or less Ok, using X-NEWA over raspberry pis, and if push comes to shove I can use the NMTs by creating a share that points directly at the NPVR recordings directory
I can't shake the feeling that this is all something to do with my dns server configuration. I have been fiddling with it for the last few days, and its working more or less OK now I think. But mvpmx2 went wrong when I had to do a complete re-install on the machine that provides the dns service, so the timing is suspicious
Previously I got nowhere when using 'mediaserver:mvpmc' as the address but 192.168.0.3:mvpmc at least got me to the NPVR cgi screen. Obviously a dns problem which i have fixed. Even now it still behaves differently though. Going through 192.168.0.3 just gives me a hang on the NMT, while through mediaserver I do get back to the NPVR cgi menu. I'll keep on fiddling when I have time
