in program files run NPVRServiceControl.exe
then try to install

[SIZE="1"]Client:Samsung [NZ][DVB-s][2012]BD-E5900x2 [/SIZE]

Did you try to run the installer as Administrator? For no obvious reason it is sometimes required.

Hi stustunz

I ran NPVRServiceControl.exe and a stopped box appeared, then ran the install exe file but it still
unable to communicate to recording service.

In an Administrator cmd prompt, try to manually start the service with the syntax NRecord RUN to see if any errors pop up.

sc delete "NPVR Recording Service"

re-install
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct
main client: NextPVR 5.0.7 Desktop Client; LG 50UH5500 WebOS 3.0 TV
