Hi,

After having evaluated ShowShifter, BeyondTV/BeyondMedia, MediaPortal, SnapStream, SageTV, Meedio, GBPVR and more, I ended up selecting GBPVR as the most complete and best working solution for my use!

I have setup IRBlaster to control my aging Nokia (with DVB2000 software) satelite receiver, and it works fine, first time I enter Live TV.

If I exit Live TV and reenter it, no IRBlaster codes are sent.

Any ideas?

BTW.. it would be cool to be able to have a feature for which one can send specific IRBlaster codes at specific times...

Ie. it would be nice to have GBPVR automatically turn on the receiver when GBPVR turns on, or before a channel is sent.
Also it could be nice to send other codes, for example remotecontrolled by the normal remote control somehow.

Hauppauges documentation is really poor (thats not even a strong enough word). Hence its not easy to see if its possible to configure IRRemote.ini to send codes on the irblaster.

Another little topic... FM support on the Hauppauge PVR150 card... I have tried to configure the FM plugin, but when using it, it says there are no FM support on the card. However other frontends who support FM receivers had no problem tuning in on FM.

GBPVR is really a cool piece of software which works better, faster and in most cases more reliable than the other, even commercial, products for HTPC use.

best regards

The 'Hauppauge PVR150' has no FM hardware so doesnt support FM, the 'Hauppauge PVR150MCE' does have FM hardware. Maybe you've selected the wrong type of card? Then again, you do mention the IRBlaster which only comes with the "retail" version, which is not the MCE version and doesnt have FM hardware.

Hi,

Its the retail I have, not the MCE.
It may not officially have an FM radio built in, but in practice it does have.
As mentioned, Ive used for example MediaPortal's FM radio function to listen to stereo radio without problems.

However the IRBlaster problem is currently my biggest issue at the moment Smile

best regards
