The upgrade loaded without any problem. But, when I attempt to schedule a recording and am on the screen that has several options of lead time and extra ending time a problem happens. Click on the OK and nothing happens. Locks up. Only way out is right mouse button and exit. Looking at the log file, I see it states at the end some popups can not be found. Maybe has something to do with the lock up. ????? Thoughts?

no, those messages are normal; it's like little bo peep, it lost it's elements years ago and still hasn't found them.

are you sure you're giving it enough time? after you hit the OK button, it does the scheduling of the recording... if errors are occurring, they'd be in the NRecord.log file (which is why we always tell people to just zip the entire logs folder, you aren't helping anything by trying to guess which log we need)

Those logs are fine. No errors there.

If the problem is repeatable, try restarting the recording service and nextpvr.exe (to reset the logs), then reproduce the problem and post the npvr.log and nrecord.log and I'll take a look.

Pardon me for sending the wrong files. New to all this. Now I will know better if I ever have to in the future. Thanks for your post.

I guess I will call this "user error." I was on this "set the options for recording screen" using the mouse. That is why it failed here. When I run through any of the options there with the keyboard, all work just as they should. Thanks for taking a look at my problem.

it should work fine with the mouse; I noticed you were using a mouse, so before I posted I set a recording using only the mouse and had no problem. the app isn't altogether "mouse friendly", as it's designed primarily as a 10-foot interface, but it accommodates mouse-users wherever possible.

If I run NextPVR on my laptop that has a USB mouse connected to it, all functions on the "set you options screen for recording" work without any problem. When I try the same on the desktop, I can highlight the different lines but the small adjusting arrows do nothing. Also clicking on "OK" or "cancel" will not work with the mouse. It really does not matter since I have the Flicr on the desktop and use a remote for control.
This IS a good program and since I will become a cord cutter in mid September it will get much use. I hope I have it all figured out by then......

huh, weird that the mouse won't work on the desktop... might have to do with which renderer you are using on each.

aside from that, glad you are enjoying the program.

thanks for noticing my avatar... I never used to have one, finding them to often be silly, but people did sometimes ask if the number 42 in my name meant what they thought it did; I decided that avatar would answer that question quite convincingly, plus I really do want you to not panic
