Live TV for a few seconds?

When I try streaming, I get about 5 seconds of live tv before it cuts out. Interestingly. If i stop the stream, and then restart it and press play and launch external player again, the new file replays the same 5 seconds.
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Since there are several ways/references people stream.... what exactly are you doing when you say you are trying to stream?

OK, here is what i did:
1. go to http://server:8866 2. Click on the show I want to watch live 3. on the new open window, I click "Stream Now" (which is under Close - take no action) 4. I get a note, "starting Stream and then will transfer window to Streamer Page" 5. In the new window, I click on "start Stream" The stream player is VLC 6. In th enext page i click on "launch External Player"... It downloads stream.asx.asf 7. I open the file with VLC And of course... when i did this today, it works  But it was this that was only running for a few seconds then quitting...
