Need help debugging sudden decode failure

I'm running NextPVR 3.6.6 on Windows 10 and have been doing so successfully for some time.
I use a SiliconDust HDHomerun tuner (original).

Sometime between July 11 and July 24 NextPVR stopped decoding streams from my HDHomerun correctly.
I can use the HDHomerun live viewer to view a channel correctly but now when I try NextPVR Live the video and audio are scrambled.

I say July 11 and July 24 because a show recorded on July 11 plays fine but the next episode recorded on July 24 does not. NextPVR displays a scrambled video on the July 24 video and the size of the .ts file is about one fifth the size of one recorded for the same show on July 11.

I have not tinkered with any of the settings since I reinstalled with Windows 10 (February) and it had been workng fine.
I have not installed any new a/v apps or other multimedia software recently.

How do I begin to track down what has gone wrong here?

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Is it particular channels or all channels?

I putzed with this quite a bit before I contacted you but as with all things Service Related, it seems to have miraculously cured itself. I appreciate your response but you can ignore my request for help.

I have a screen shot for you but I'm not sure that it is not working now.
Here is what I did
- Started N-PVR from system tray
- Clicked Live TV and got a scrambled video & audio. Took screen shot.
When I repeated this I got a message that the tuner was allocated for recording and asked if I wanted to exit. There were no pending recordings at the time. I tried clicking Live TV again and got the same error. Clicking the Exit button on the message had no effect.
NEXT
- Went to TvGuide and opened shows on different channels and they all came up correctly, even the one that was opened by default before I selected a channel and had displayed scrambled video and audio.
- Went to TvGuide and selected a show to record.

I waited until the recording was supposed to start. It did not and the Show Status command brought up the dialog but is showed no tuners, it was empty.
I then restarted the Recording Service. It started recording.
