Hi,
I just purchased the MyBlaster USB infrared transmitter. I am able to go into config and set the device and learn from my cable remote, however once i launch gbpvr and attempt to either watch live tv or record anything it hangs. Any ideas?, I attached the gbpvr.exe.log
Many thanks ahead of time!

Hi,

Just got a MyBlaster and same issue. it works with BeyondTV quite well - but i'd prefer to use GBPVR.

if i select to use keyboard and mouse i'm fine. TV feed works. But once i configure the MyBlaster, GBPVR will start up but then lockup the moment i try to watch the tv ( either directly or through the TV schedule ).

I've got the latest version of GBPVR on XP Pro SP2, using a Theatre 550, MyBlaster for the IR and the Cable is the Scientific Atlanta 2200 digital cable box.
Thanks, Seamus

Can you please attempt to start livetv, then email your logs to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look. You'll find them in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr. Include a link back to this post so I know what they're for.

Hi All,

Sorry boys but i've given up. i shilled out the cash and bought snapstream's BeyondTV3 and it works fine with both my "MyBlaster" unit as well as my 2 x MediaMPV. If and when this finally gets addressed by GBPVR ( and i fully understand it's a freebie so i'm not truly whining ) i'll be back. For now i just can't spend any more time on this and have to go with what works.

Fair enough. The reason it all went quiet from my end, is because I've had problems with my MyBlaster (RF/USB version). It just doesnt seem to do anything regardless of what software I use. I spent nearly a day trying to get the damn thing working. I think its dead. Its difficult to support a device if you dont have a working one.

Anyway, enjoy BeyondTV.
