I have four sources of media for audio and video. Three of the four sources do not encounter this error. I have two PCs running Windows Server 2016. PC1 contains my movies and tv shows and kids media each on a separate drive. PC2 runs NextPVR with recordings stored on one drive and documentaries on another. When I watch anything on PC1 and the Documentaries on PC2 I never have an issue with playback. Only when I watch recordings from NextPVR do I receive the error "Read Rate too slow for continuous playback". The NextPVR drive is three days old, the PC has a freshly installed OS and NExtPVR completely installed brand new. Everything is hardwired with cat5e and connected via a gigabyte switch.

Does anyone have any idea why the NextPVR recordings are stopping, pixelating, or crashing the Kodi.

NextPVR Server
Windows Server 2016
3.5Ghz six core Processor
16 GB Ram
Dual Gigabit NICs

Raspberry Pi3+
LibreElec
Kodi 17.6

Without logs it is hard to say much but if you convert recordings to mp4 the cannot be steamed by pvr.nextpvr

I could but nextpvr only records .ts and I don't know of any transcoding on the fly. All the other media is either morning, mkv, or mp3

Then you should duplicate the problem and send your logs. For Kodi you need to enable debug logging. Note that the you might need to license mpeg2 video for your rpi

I do have licenses for mp2 and vc1. Where can I turn on debug logging?

For Kodi it is well explained on their wiki. You can start with sending the NextPVR logs.

Is this the webpage that you are looking for ... https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced

For NextPVR logs ... NextPVR Settings --> About ... press the button to zip the logs and attach the logs to a post telling us the time that you attempted to play a recording that was stopping or pixelating, or crashing the Kodi. Thanks.
