Why does the screensaver not stop when NextPVR send a command via the blaster at the start of a recording or at the start of Live TV?

It requires you to hit the "OK" button. I could keep the box on by sending signal to the ir. But I would need to create a script to do so. Any suggestions? I have read it is after 8 hrs

Change your tuning script to enter an ok wait how ever long and then send the channel number.

Graham it is more than a screensaver. Typically it is low power sleep on mine a hard drive parks but in the case of fibre they might even turn off the digital transmission. It is not like copper cable or satellite which are always ending signals.

"LIRC based IR Blasters can send most of the key codes not just OK. Typically with NextPVR that isn't necessary you just send leading zeroes to pad the number of digits that your STB requires or let it timeout.

Martin"

This response was made .. How would I go about doing it? Could it be done in arduino?

I found the .ir file for the remote. How can it be deciphered?

I assume this needs to be programmed via arduino?

OK ( Carrier 36.04 - One Time Byte Count = 0 - Repeat Byte Count = 36 )

Why is it that the Slingbox had the ability to hit ok, but the hauppauge cannot take that code?

If you are using the Android client and direct play and sound doesn't work either disable direct play or try other sound options from your hdpvr. As an example I can't use direct play with ac3 or aac except with basic stereo on several devices.
