Is launching an external player supported in the NextPVR add-on for Kodi 18.8? I can launch an external player using Files but I don't see the option in the context menu in the NextPVR add-on.

I expect that would be a core feature so probably better to post on the Kodi forum. The use case is that it almost always better to just use a better device for playback.

They didn't fix the subtitles in Matrix yet so I am just going to switch to an external player where they work 100%. I was hoping to be able to launch from the add-on so it would keep track of watched videos. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/16434

That makes sense but the correct area to post is on the Kodi forum the addon doesn't control the player. I did ping the PVR devs on that PR
Also on this post https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid546333 another user had a similar issue. If hitting the T doesn't work for you I could enable this in KNEWC as a workaround. Martin |
