I assume you're running the lastest version of GB-PVR (v0.91.12)?

GB-PVR initializes the PVR card in the same way before every recording, but in your case this seems to fail. It is out of my control if the Hauppauge drivers are not working after a reboot.

I guess I don't understand then. You turn on the system, you have picture and no audio. You run the tuning assistant, you have sound. You have a tuning issue, presumably, since running the tuning assistant is not going to change the codec, GB, or the drivers.

It sounds like your system is just tossing out the tuning settings after reboot, maybe because they are not allowed to stay in the registry. Some of the tuning advice I and Darx offered would help w/ that.

If you're not interested, I guess I hope someone can offer you a solution you like better.

Thanks for all your advice and I do need help so I will try to sound friendly, even with my bad english :-)

How can tuning assistant help with improving the tuning of GBPVR when I do not use the oputput of tuninsassistant to change any setting of GBPVR? I use absolute frequencies in the station list instead of "channels" to work around the tuning problem in european cable networks.
Does tuning assistent do anything with the sound settings? I do not (ever) hear sound when running tuningassistant.

sub, I use the latest GBPVR.
Is there any difference between the initialization of GBPVR and the tuningassistant?

I found an image of a WinTV2k install CD so I can try that later this week so I can check the sound after booting without GBPVR but I realy want to be able to run scheduled recordings on my central server without having to do some manual intervention after the (infrequent) reboot.

I can also try ChrisTV to see if that works.

Sorry to bother you with my small problems,
Kind regards, Erik.
