Static ip address problem

Probably more of a linux question but after changing my headless Ubuntu 20.04 server to a static ip address the old address is still offered as an alternative to the fixed address in the NextPVR app on my apple TV 4k. I can swipe it away but it immediately reappears. To ease the pain for my technophobic family how can I remedy this so that NextPVR app launches directly to menu?

Did you reboot the server after changing the ip?

I believe so but trying that now

seems to have remedied the fault thanks, the old address was shown but this time could be swiped away permanently

Great.

Restarting NextPVR would probably have been enough. From memory the discovery service was only looking up the machine's ip address at startup. Any clients later looking for a NextPVR server would get that original address.
