What about /discover.json on each of your devices

I miss stated my last post. physical tuner 1 could see channel 7 in both tuners, I replaced the 2nd physical tuner because it could not see channel 7 at all, I live in a remote area and i am guessing tuner 2 could not pull in channel 7. After I replaced the 2nd physical tuner, I did a manual scan on all four tuners and was able to see channel 7. Now when I try to record using the NextPVR web interface, I get this error: No tuner is available at the specified time.

I have attached the log files.

Thank you,

Mike

NextPVR cannot find your devices.

That is strange, I have a static IP configured on the Linux system.

Thanks,

Mike

I looked at the NextPVR web interface this morning and I had 4 entries for each channel I think because I did a manual scan for each of 4 tuners. So I had

7.1
7.1
7.1
7.2
7.2
7.2
7.2……

I was able to record 4 things at one time, but I had to select a different tuner line each time or I would get the no tuner error. For two recordings, I had to select like below.

7.1 - I select this line
7.1
7.1
9.1
9.1 - then I had to select the second line or I would get the error
9.1
9.1
12.1
12.1
12.1 - I selected from the third line to get a third recording
12.1
20.1
20.1
20.1
20.1- I selected the fourth line and had for things recording at once.

It seems like there is an issue when a manual scan is done for each input.

I then deleted the guide for three of the tuners and used the copy function and now I have one entry for each channel and can record 4 shows at the same time. Log files are from when I had four entries for each channel in the web TV Guide.

Thanks,

Mike

That would be normal for different tuners that are scanned separately. You need to merge them Settings -> Channels -> Advanced Tools -> Auto Merge

Martin,

Thanks, I guess I didn’t know about that feature.

Yes, that's normal, most users don't both bother to read the wiki https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Additional-Setup

I think for me it was more about the copy function working for me for years.

Thanks again,

Mike
