Guide information for repeat episodes??

I'm in the US and would like to know how I can get the guide to show if an episode is a repeat or not? If I could get it to show this then I wouldn't have to switch over to my regular TVGuide for it. Is there something I can add in a configuration file? I'm a total newbie so much help is needed! Oh, I'm using the zap2it for the guide information.

No, GB-PVR does not retain this information.

You actually have two options.

the first is what most people whom ask for this functionality use. Install xrecord. It includes rectracker that after ever recording stores the shows information in a database.

Just add the purge line (see wiki) to your post update epg.bat

It will never record a show that has already been recorded successfully. XRecord has an option to see the info in that database under watched.

The second option install the zaptools. Run it and take a look at the database. See if there is a flag (I think there is) that indicates repeat. Then let me know and I can build you a cancel repeat tool


I recommend the first it works and is already there.

A third option - the Video Archive plug-in also does. It will purge duplicates automativally going forward and, like xrecord, will build up a list of what you have recorded.

Speaking for North America Zap2It...It looks like there are 2 fiedls you could use...

1.) There is a "repeat" attribute on the schedules structure of the xml. However, this is not populated with an regularity, and would not be sufficient on it's own.

2.)there is an originalAirDate xml node on the program. This field looks mostly filled out with a few exceptions (sometimes it is "none"). My issue with using this is that some affiliates show programs a day later than other affiliates. I don't know how this effects originalAirDate. Maybe something to look at.

Maybe these can be config options in XRecord?????
