nextPVR playing atsc 3.0 using HDHomerun 4k

I have tried to read all of the posts relating using NextPVR to playback ATSC 3.0 channels and am so confused as to whether this is possible or not.
I have the latest software for the HDHomerun tuner and have installed the latest HDHomerun windows app, and that works fine to playback all of the ATSC 3.0 channels (video and audio) so I know the hardware is ok.  It is just that the HDHomerun app interface is less than ideal.
So, I have installed the latest version of NextPVR  windows client 6.1.1 and leaving all the defaults as is it will not playback the 3.0 channels i.e., no video or audio.  Someone recommended downloading the LAV decoders so I did that, and changed the NextPVR decoders page to use the LAV decoders but still nothing. I also looked at the lav decoder properties page with all the various settings but that is above my paygrade...   So, can anyone tell me the steps I need to do to get video and audio working in NextPvr to playback ATSC 3.0 channels?

It is not really possible unless you use the uidroid client for Android.  There are no ac4 decoders for Windows.

Honestly unless you like the smaller file sizes currently you are better off with the ATSC 1.0 channels and take advantage of using 4 tuners instead of 2 .

Looked for uidroid to sideload but it seems like there has been no development work in the last year, and the .apk build I could find was a debug build with logging.  
Is there a more recent build, or has development stopped?  
The ATSC 3.0 channels looked great on my friends new SONY tv and given that 3.0 transmits everything in 1080p or better it would seem like someone would be working on development.

I released a new version in October https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=63151 the link doesn't change between version but there has been a lot of improvement.

Placebo effect. The quality of ATSC 3.0 is not improved except for a few local broadcasts. The network backhauls are all still the same mpeg2video and the HEVC (lossy) conversion is done local.
