I was wondering How can I use the tuning assistant to tune both PVR150 cards?

I tried to tune using the assistant and only one card works great and the other is not tuned properly.

The way I use it is selecting my card PVR150, then USA, then cable TV and press OK.

Am I using the tuning assistant the way it's intended to be used?

Thank you

The tuning assistant is only designed to work with the first card of particular type.

Remember, the tuning assistant doesnt change any settings or do anything other than help you understand what channels are transmitted on what frequencies. Any frequencies (or channel numbers) you learn from the tuning assistant are just manually typed into GB-PVR.

If you are going to have a different source plugged into the second card (ie cable on one, antenna for the other), and need to understand what channel is what frequency on the second device, then you can temporarily plug that cable or antenna into the first card and briefly run the tuning assistant.

Sub,
Can you please point me to the right document that explains how to enter the Freqs into GBPVR.

Thank you

Usually in the USA you dont need to change anything, but otherwise you'd do something like the following example: Imagine you're in the UK and you've only got five channels. You've set up a capture source, and imported the EPG. You've got five channels listed, but when you try to video them in GB-PVR it just shows static. So...you start the tuning assistant and hit the scan button. It finds channels on 2,7,9,14,23. So take these numbers and enter them in the capture source settings against their respective channels. Done.

The USA would be the same, but you'd have to write down a much bigger list of channel numbers.

So, is this a Hauppauge tuning or do I need to enter the frequencies into GBPVR?

Can you be more specific? Which file do i edit to enter the "Fixed" frequencies?
Thanks

Providing a bit more detail on my example above...

You start the GB-PVR tuning assistant, select your card t and hit the scan button. It finds channels on BBC1 on 2, BBC2 on 7, ITV1 on 9, CeeBee on14, etc. You write these down as it scans. When its finished, you start the config app, and edit your capture source. Next BBC1 in your channel list, you type "2". Next to BBC2 you type "7", next to ITV1 you type "9" etc. Thats all there is to it.

Sub you are quick!

So back to the issue, I have the channel numbers correct.
It is that some stations are not tuned to the sharpest.
I guess the problem is in the PVR-150 then if it doesn't display the cable TV correctly since I don't see any fine tuning for the PVR-150 itself.

Does Hauppauge has any tuning utility?

Thank for the help.
