Not sure what you mean by "just as easy to select Freesat before you scan ". I wasn't aware you could select an EPG source before you scan.
In my case I create an 0282_reduced.ini file and scan selecting that. It scans about half the usual number of transponders and returns about 100 channels for me to pick from.
This takes a lot less time to scan and returns 600+ less channels than the full scan.
It would just be helpful to be able to get this to default to Freesat EPG rather than having to do it manually.
