Uidroid doesn't launch on first attempt using Android TV

I'm using Uidroid on my Hisense Android TV.  I find that when I select Uidroid from the list of apps, the first time, nothing happens, and then I wait a couple of seconds and try again, and then it launches fine.  I've also noticed that when I leave Uidroid and go back to the main AndroidTV menu, and then open it again, it typically works on the first try (maybe a warm start vs a cold start).  I'm seeing this on the latest version and had the same issue with the prior version too.   Not a big deal, but is anyone else having this problem?

Yes there is difference been a warm and cold start (you can force a cold start by exiting from the main menu) but I haven't seen a long delay on either a warm or cold start. Maybe your server is slow to generate that first session. There is another possibility that the warm start is the problem if you are exiting during a video playback or maybe it is the screen saver you are seeing.

The logs could tell us what is going on. We might need to Android logcat logs too.
