I had a problem with my machine a couple of days ago, so had to re-install the OS and GB-PVR. I've got it all running OK, but with a coupe of problems:

1. All the recordings I made are still there (on a different drive from the restored one), and while GB-PVR lists them under "Videos", it doesn't find them under "Recordings". I assume there's some set of data that GBPVR keeps about recordings - is there anyway to rebuild it from the directories and file names of the MPegs?

2. The size of the text is too big for all the buttons etc in the skins! I can't understand why this should suddenly go wrong - it was fine before. I could go through and edit the font sizes down, but it's a bit laborious, and I don't see why it's changed. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

No, there isnt a way to recreate these record after a reinstall (unless you used one of the plugins to explicitly export them before hand).

Is your machine configure to use large fonts instead of normal fonts?

Cheers - I was on large fonts - sorry to ask such a dumb question :-)

On a matter unrelated to GB-PVR - are there any tricks to getting Windows to display on a TV in a reasonable manner? In anything bigger than 800x600 the text is illegible, while at 800x600 or less many dialogs are too big to fit the screen. The TV is a Sony Triniton KV32FX60D - a 32" CRT TV from about the year 2000.

It really depends on your tv and video card.

Well, the TV is a little old, as listed above. The PC is a Shuttle ST62K which has ATI 9100 IGP chipset on the motherboard, with a 7-pin s-video output.

Some googling suggests that I'm going to struggle to get much of a useable Windows experience out of the TV, but any advice would be gratefully received.
