I have a Hauppauge pvr150 with remote and wanted to know if there is an option or way to make it so I can launch the gbpvr from my desktop without having to use a keyboard or mouse. Thanks for the help, I'm really enjoying this piece of software.

here's a method using the green power button :

AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

Oh neat, I didn't know you could do that.

I had this same problem and solved it another way. I set a keyboard combination on the Start Menu Shortcut for GBPVR. So, from the desktop, I can press CTRL+ALT+G, and it'll startup. Then, i just edited irremote.ini to map that keyboard combination to a button.

That works too, but I like the method above better. Thanks for the info.

you can do quite some stuff with the irremote.ini... but as it seems there exists no official documentation for it (or i did not find one 'till now)...

the only unofficial documentation i saw on the web was on http://www.dschnabel.de/irdoku.htm and it is in german...

I am still having trouble with this, my irremote.ini reads like this:

[Default]
OLDO=
0=
1=
...(continued down to 9=)
TVNEW=*lots of stuff*
SOURCE=*lots of stuff*
Minimize=
Fullscreen=
Reserved =
*blank line*
: close current active window; disabled for now
:GRNPOWER={run(c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}

I have tried typing it as progra~1 as suggested, didnt work. I have tried putting quotes around the path, didn't work. Any ideas? I have used the reset IR just in case after editting, no help. Should I have to restart the computer fully?

That's is what I was thinking, just making sure. Thanks for the help. A quick and helpful response as usual from this board. Love the software and the community.

Just for reference, I tried the command posted in this thread, but kept getting the error "can't find C:\program". Apparently it was choking on the long filename. After changing the command to c:\progra~1\... all was well.

Hope this helps.
