OK, I've searched around and didn't see this issue posted in any of the other threads. This is not a big deal, but I noticed that when using the web interface to access GBPVR's recordings and TV guide (which I absolutely love, by the way!!), when I click on the Play button next to a recorded show, I get a message box asking if I want to save or open the file. The funny thing is that it is attempting to download an m3u file, and wants to open it with MusicMatch!

Any idea why it's downloading an m3u file? I expected that it would have just linked to the actual recorded file via an unc name, but no such luck. I've tried this both from the server and network clients, all with the same results. Is there something that I need to configure, or is this just a bug? It would really be nice if this worked since we don't have a network "client" version of GBPVR, being able to peruse the recordings and play them from this interface would go a long way!

Thanks!

An m3u file is a playlist file. Usually it contains one or more actual links to the files you want to view or hear. My guess would be that the application is wrapping the file you want to see inside of a playlist file for access by windows media player or some player that recognizes an M3U file.

IF you have the videolan player installed http://www.videolan.org/ when you get the option to SAVE or OPEN the file. Choose OPEN and it will stream the file allowing you to watch it on the client computer. I have used this to watch my recordings on my wireless laptop and others PCs throughout the house.

Thanks dneprrider! I downloaded the videolan player, and once I associated my m3u files with it instead of Music Match, it works perfectly. One question though, I can't seem to get videolan to keep my deinterlace settings so that it will use them when I begin watching a video. I always have to set them after I start the movie. Any suggestions?

Thanks again!
