I have tried all muxes that come with GBPVR - all of them result in very broken up video and out of sync audio.

I have tried the Cyberlink Mux that comes with PowerVCR2 but it makes no difference.

Please help as I really want this program to work for me!

No muxes come with GB-PVR. You have to install your own. If you select one that you dont have on your machine, then use the first one it finds. So even if you selected it in the config, it may not be the one that was used.

What version Cyberlink comes with PowerVCR2? I've been using 5.0.0.727 and 5.0.0.1307 with good results.

I only have version 3.0.0.221

Could you email me the version you use that works - I think my address is available!

Ok I managed to get 5.0.0.727 put it into system32 fodler but my recordings are even worse now!!! Totally broken up - any ideas - GB-PVR won't play them and WMP10 just gives garbled shots

Did you deregister you old Cyberlink multiplexer? If not, it'll probably still be using the old one.

regsrv32 /u c:\path\to\MpgMux.ax

or download the DirectShow Filter Manager from http://www.softella.com. This is also a nice way to see what filters are installed on your machine. Look for "Cyberlink MPEG Muxer" in the list shown.
