Hi.! First, I would like to say that GBPVR has made my Theatrix 550 a respectable capture card (no stuttering in high quality recordings). Anyway, is there a way I can get the (Comcast Digital Cable) DCT6412 to work with GBPVR channel changer? It doesn't have a serial connector, but I noticed a cable that can be plugged in to something called IR. Is that for infrared remote?

More likely than not, that "IR" port is a port for an Infrared Transmitter(blaster) of its own used for controlling VCRS or DVD players. However, if your willing to spend about 50 bucks, you can purchase a USB-UIRT Infrared transmitter/blaster that will "learn" the remote control settings of your comcast remote. The USB-UIRT will then transmit signals to your set-top box. You can then manually add channels to your channel suite in the GBPVR config app.

Yes, as ejeffers says, you'd need an IR Blaster to control this cable box.

I think I'll do without the channel changer. Thanks for the info!
