Ive just about got my system running, but am having a few issues with live tv.
I realise the BDA / DVB + MVP isnt the most sucessful soltuion but as far as i can gather the only real issues should be the ammount of time required to change chanels.
My system is a wired lan running a broadband router (DLink DI-624), an MVP, a GBPVR server running on a athlon xp 3000, 1.25gb ram, 10gb os dirve + 80gb data drive, windows xp pro sp2.
Using the ShowShifter MUX.
Have the live buffers / recording set to the second drive.
Ive tried the 5.000.727 (inthink) Cyberlink Mux but had problems with the GBPVRrecordingservice crashing randomly when changing chanels.
Ive tried the intervideo mux but that was poor, didnt even get any audio.
I get most chanels fine, live tv seems fine after the initial few seconds it settles down with no issues.
On some chanels however I get very bad breakup / skipping issues.
These chanels seem to play much better when running th GBPVR "Client" on the main machine, even in time shift mode.
Can anyone give me some tips as to where to start looking ?
I cant see how it can be a network issues since ive been playing some chanels for several hours with no problems, ive also got a lot of cam corder footage that plays fine as well and it has a similar bit rate to the live tv.
I cant see how it can be the mux as it plays fine on the main machine in time shift mode.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
