I've setup an additional source as channel 255 using S-Video In. I'm able to get to in Live TV if I goto channel 100 and then go up 1 channel. I'm able to view what's comming in but my real prob is that I'd liketo Record what's comming in to vie later. The Live TV buffer splits the video files into 40MB chunks then recycles the 5th file. I was thinking of making that Inut Source have an EPG of XMLTV file to have it listed in TC Guide. However I dont know how to create one and I dont know if there is a better solution.

I'd appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.

Ever tried to go on with a manual recording? Set the time and just let your camcorder or whatever play...

No I haven't but im not even sure how to do that? I've always recorded off the TV Guide menu at the time I want. The S-Video input I setup does not seem to have a channcel associated with it. Only after I go to Live TV and goto to the last channle in my lineup 100 I hit chennel up and it goes to the S-Video which is 255.

I've done exactly that, primarily for recording from On-Demand, and because I wanted to see if I could do that.

It works, but can be a pain for on demand due to the delays going through comcast menus... ANyway, I will post my XMLTV after I remote into my home machine.

If you could post your XMLTV file that would be a huge help. I really appreciate that.

Thanks

Here is the contents of my FAKEXMLTV.XML file. You need to update the start and end dates, and channel display-name. I haven't worked it all out yet, and I obviously took another one and edited it.
I can send screen shots of the actual config if you want. It shows up as blank in the guide, and at one time I had it showing up there, but I haven't bothered since.
