I tried searching for this in other threads with no luck, so here goes.

I just tried to install GB-PVR v9.310 and received the following error...

Error 1606 Could not access network location
%USERPROFILE%\Favorites\

The install backs out and quits. I then tried using v9.211 and got the same error. All of my user profiles contain a favorites folder.

Any fixes or workarounds?

Thanks.

Psychotech.
Is your XP/W2K UK/US-version or some localized version?
If '\favorites' is hard-coded to setup, it will not work on localized versions properly.
My FI version has the same problem, but US/UK version on work computer has no problems at all.
Here's some help for those who dare to use regedit:

Sub: I'd check that no systemfolder is hardcoded, if this problem hasn't shown earlier.

To check what %USERPROFILE% is, go to a command prompt
(Start - Run - CMD )
type in set and hit enter.

It will be one of the last things listed, they are listed a-z
Mine says
USERPROFILE=C:\Documents and Settings\xxx where "xxx" is my username.
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.
