I just banged around a bit, and things look pretty solid on the new version. Nice work.

Here's somthing that's not a bug, it just puzzles me: Is there an easier way to have scheduler do any time/date? There's a setting that claims this, but it always sets the time and day anyway (but does unspecificed date range ok).

One thing that would be nice, if it could be done, is something I figured out how to do manually. I record a lot of Adult Swim shows on CN, and the do the run them 2x trick, have some 15min shows, and tend to change up schedules. I'm still watching stuff the 1st showing (12-2am), so I record the latter. But, if you have a record all, it gets the 1st one by default.

What would be nice would to be able to say get the latest/last showing of a show (since many catv networks do many showings in a day). It's probably a technical nightmare, admittedly. I get around it now by saying to record showings between 2am and 5am (which the latter always falls into).

So a function for this is unneceassry for me, but it would be some slick stuff as that trend grows.

Jorm,

All I use are MVP's and when I hit the yellow button the tag over the middle column changes but nothing else does. It goes from Name to channel to description to subtitle to cast to genere. The left column goes blank on several of the tags, center column stays with the same complete list of shows. What am I doing wrong? Other than that, awesome job!

capone, that does sound like a pain. Smile I will think on it.

spyder40,

thank you. I understand the left panel going black on description and subtitle it does not make sense to have them.

The cast and genere could also be blank if the zap database is not populated.

But you should see when you first hit Ctrl-Y that it shows by channel. I find this one of the most useful features. If you are still not seeing anything in that box please let me know and I will have you send me your database so I can find out what is going wrong.

The center column should remain the same. If you pick a channel it would narrow it down to only that channel etc...

Jorm,

I guess I'm being thick headed on this (too many long days/nights working), on an MVP with the 45 button remote how would I find all football games? I tried what you suggested and when I cycle to channel the center column does just show the programs on that channel

have you tried typing zaptools zaplogin zappassword to populate the database. And then you should be able to search by generes.

Jorm,

I ran zapimport but it errored due to a missing import table or gbpvr_recording. Unfortunately my son went to bed so I can't get on the machine to post the exact error. Do I need to run something else first to create the table?

I will look at this today and let you know. You can always download zaptools from wiki and install that. Sounds like I have something out of date in the installer.

Hi Jorm,

I'm just trying to build a 16x9 (res fo 1024x576) and ran into some toubles with the x plugins. The guide will display a background of any size so no problem there but all other elements must be somehow hardcodes to 720x480. And for the search and the record they are in all aspects hardcoded to 720x480. Do you see any chance to change it, in one of the next releases?

Jorm,

Never mind my bad, I downloaded the new version of zaptools and everything works great. The file date on the one I was using was 8/5 on the .dll and 8/1 on the exe with the new stuff being dated 8/20. Thanks for the help and sorry to make you run in circles on my stupidity.

On another note, any chance of putting in a test/showing of what will be scheduled when setting up the scheduler so there's instant feedback as to whether the item is setup correctly? Example, I've been recording all the Three Stooges episodes with duplicates set to yes so I didn't miss anything. I now have over 200 gig and set duplicates to no but am getting nothing scheduled. It would be nice if a screen would pop up and show what's out there to be scheduled and how they match up with what has been recorded. That way even though I know there are things to be recorded but won't for a definate reason instead of wondering if I set it up wrong. Does that make sense? I also need to find a way to go back through what I've got recorded and get rid of the existing duplicates if there are any.

Other than that, awesome plugin, it's definately "a can't live without" one!
