Hi All,

I am new to all this, having only got my TV card today (AverMedia DVB-T A800 USB). After much reading of the forum I have updated the bda.ini with the following :

[AVerMedia DVB-T (A800)]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=AVerMedia DVB-T BDA Video Capture(A800)
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I am not sure if this is correct, but i don't get any errors when I select the card in the recording source.
I have set my EPG to DVB broadcast, but when I click update EPG it just flashes up a window and closes.

My TV card picks up all the channels OK using showshift and the AverMedia software so I know I get reception ok.

I have graphedit installed but not sure how to use it to check the bda is correct.
One other thing - how do I find out my transmitter/region ? I'm in west london.

Any suggestions appreciated & thanks in advance,

Ian

We'll I'm new to this too, haven't even got the thing to work yet Smile

However, as for you question on your region, you're most likely Crystal Palace. You can tell by looking at the roof and seeing what direction it points in. If it's East, definitely CP.

I did find a website once that gives you distances and orientation.. I'll see if I can dig it out...

All up and running now - thanks again busabus.

It was the showshifter mux causing problems - uninstalled showshifter and all is fine
