Is there any reason not to do this?
For instance 93.10 is working just right, the W and K have taken complete advantage of the 200gb drive capacity.

I'd like to test the features of the newest gbpvr version so I thought I'd just install in in another directory and play around with it when nobodys watching the TV and when they want to watch or record I'll just run gbpvr from the 93.10 subdriectory?

that would cause no problems right?

No, its not possible to do this. Most things depend some registry setting that says where GB-PVR is installed, and where the various GB-PVR directshow filters can be found.

Even if you specify a different directory, Windows Installer will still see the original version & upgrade it.

ok - what about renaming the existing gbpvr directory, installing the new version and after configuring the new version, rename that directory and restoring the original name of the 93.10 dir to gbpvr if required?

If that is not suggested, I'll just install the new gbpvr and work with it, but now there are people in our house that like 93.10 the way it is.
I personally would like to see what the new release has to offer.

thanks

ok - If I do that, I will but I'm might just do the upgrade if its going to be a hack installing 2 versions since my test box somehow became production.

tks for the link for ccleaner - btw the url in your post points to "Cleaner - Serving residential, municipal and industrial sewer&drain cleaning contractors" ha ha

I added the "c" and http://www.ccleaner.com works for the registry cleaner
