Hello,

I've got a Kameleon 6-in-1 that I am using with GB-PVR through a USB-UIRT. The problem is choosing the best remote code which enables enough buttons. I thought the 'Sat' class was the most suitable, and searched for a code that transmitted a code when the 'Play' button was pressed. I found one (0610) that seems to do most buttons, but the nav keys seem slower than others i've tried, and the 'skip' buttons don't work. It's the best i've found yet though.

Has anyone else got any good codes to try?

I belive your remote is JP1 compatable. You can create your own code with all the functions you want. I'm not sure how you assign functions to the "virtual" Kameleon buttons. You might find more info at the JP1 (yahoo) site or Remote Central.

I couldn't find a code that suited, even though they include a Hauppauge code. I ended up training it myself using each button in turn. It takes a while but worth it in the end.

I think, but I could be dreaming, that I called the Chameleon support line and they downloaded the Hauppauge remote settings to my unit. I either did it, or I at least I found that I could from the Kameleon website. I don't recall and I haven't actually started using the Kameleon yet. I did it a long time ago and kind of forgot about it until seeing your post.

However, I found this link here that explains how someone setup their Kameleon using the pvr buttons, and includes a modified IRREMOTE.INI. Check it out.

So if anyone else has a Kameleon 6-in-1, the best code I could find was SAT mode 1206 - sends for every button except 'back' and the skip buttons, and the nav keys are faster than the other code I tried. The nav buttons share the same code as the vol+/- and ch+/-, but I found a mythtv forum where someone gives some special codes to override the nav keys with something else:
