Ok, I am using XP64 3000+ @ 2.7GHz, Epox NF4 Board, 1GB of Ram, Nvidia 6800 Ultra, and PVR150. When I first installed the card, I installed GBPVR immediately, not using the Hauppauge software. I noticed that my CPU usage would always be at 50-60% while doing nothing. Sometimes it would be at 100%, while I was physically doing nothing. I thought it might be GBPVR, because I was having trouble with the EPG update. So luckily I had taken an image of my drive while clean, so I reloaded the image. Checked my cpu usage, and it was normal, 0-2%. I then downloaded the latest Hauppauge driver from their site, and my cpu usage immediately went up to 50-60% again, while idle. This is before I got GBPVR installed.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is there any solutions? What's a good alternate card, maybe the saphire 550 i've heard about?

I'm not sure. I didn't do anything except install the driver package from hauppauge site. Not even the update, just the first install .exe

Hmm, I'm just going to go with a theater 550 chip then.

EDIT: NM, reloaded the image once again, and then moved the card to a different slot (I had it at the bottom) and all is well now. Wow, it was so sluggish before but now runs smooth as butter.
