There is an Archive sub dir in both the blue skin and flat blue. I am now using the Blue skin until I can resolve this. renaming archive dir and copying across makes no change. I have restored the original archive dir for now. Hope it might make troubleshooting a bit easier!!

Heres my config.xml

Well, it seems I'm on my own with this problem!! Geoff thanks for trying to help. I haven't been able to get this to work with my current in stall. I've reinstalled it to check for a currupt install. No luck.

From the config.xml I can see this
Quote:<ShowButtons>TV Guide,Search Guide,Live TV,Net Radio,FM Radio (has settings),Recordings,Music Library,Video Library,Exit</ShowButtons>
<ButtonOrdering>
It seems the "videos" menu option has not been added to the config file!!?? Adding it manually crashes the config app.

I am still at a bit of loss as to why the full range of buttons show on the pc menu but not on through the MVP. I intend to reinstall the MVP drivers later to see if that makes a difference. Can anyone who has this working let me know what version of the MVP drivers they are using? Failing this I shall try a full reinstall of everthing as a last resort. I was hoping not to do so as it took me a while to get the setup as I like it.

You can ignore those ShowButtons and ButtonOrdering settings, they havnt been used for a long time.

So where are the menu items referenced? Are they in config.xml? or are they theme related?

If the plug-in works on the MVP with the blue skin but not with your other skin, then it is a skin-related problem. If it doesn;t work with the blue skin either, then we wil need to dig a bit to figure out why.

They're in config.xml in the <MenuLayout> tag. You shouldnt have to edit them manually though, as these are edited on the 'Plugins' page of the config app. This wont be why you're not seeing VA though. That'll be something else entirely.

Thanks, I didn't think they would cause the problem as I can see them on the PC. My thoughts are that it is most likely to do with the MVP drivers or the mediaMVP server. Is it possible to just reinstall the MVP server that gbpvr uses??

I can still connect to gbpvr UI without the mediaMVP server running! Is this normal?

Sub, I appreciate you are busy "bedding in" the new release so I don't want to take too much of your time but thanks for your comments so far.

Jeff, sorry for some reason I missed your last post:o The plugin works via MVP with neither skin. It shows on the menu with both skins when viewed on the PC. Which is why I'm not sure it's skin related.

Guys, today I updated to v0.95.11, I thought "what the hell I might have to reinstall anyhow...." and it's fixed. Everything shows on the MVP menu and all seems to be working fine. Still no idea why it wouldn't work before but it must have been something I'd got messed up. Thanks Jeff for your time and Sub for a great piece of software.
