I am having some difficulties playing back quicktime mov files in gbpvr. They video files are widescreen however none of them play wide screen. All of my other avis play widescreen. If I play them in windows media player they play widescreen. Just not in gbpvr. Other quicktime files I have will play but with no sound. They are all trailers from apples website and they all play perfectly in windows media player. Not sure what the deal is but I know others are having the same problem so any help at all would be much appreciated.

A side note I do have the quicktime alternative installed. I even tried uninstalling it and installing the real itunes/quicktime product. No difference at all inside gbpvr.

Please Help!!!!

If you're using VMR, you can press F7 to toggle between the various aspect ratio.

I should point out that nothing in GB-PVR is tested with .mov files, so I wouldnt be surprised if you encounter problems when trying this.

Ok while using VMR pressing F7 was able to get me back to the right aspect ratio. However I still have several trailers that do not have audio. Is there anything I could do to help with testing this?

To be quite honest with you, I dont personally have much interest in .mov files, and also dont have time available to look at them, but you should be keep looking at it yourself, and hopefully you'll fine a resolution.

If you download graphedit.exe (google for it), and choose 'render media file' from the menu, then point it at your .mov file, windows will try to produce a directshow graph capable of playing the file. This will show the names of the decoders and filters being used. Doing this will result in the same thing GB-PVR does to play these files. If you can get the right combination of decoders installed on your machine, it should all magically just work in both GraphEdit and GB-PVR.

If you find the perfect combination, make sure you post the details in case others are trying to do the same thing.
