I recently did a full re-install with the latest GBPVR. I also have Xrecord, My Pictures, Weather, Stocks, VA panel, and MVP position plugins.
I have a DirecTV D11-300 box with a Hauppauge IR blaster, a PVR-150, and one Media MVP. I use the ContourHC skin.
Since the upgrade, all subsequent recordings scheduled through Xrecord have "Failed" - they show in the "Ready" list as "Failed". The computer has been on all the time and there have been no Hibernation issues. I can watch Live TV ok, the channel changing works perfectly, and I can do "Quick Record" from the TV guide without any problems either.
I reproduced the problem today, and have the logs attached. The recording was scheduled for 2pm on 1/7/06 and never got started.
Am I missing a core file or something? Please take a look and let me know.

I dont know what caused it, but in this case the recording service had 'shit itself' and the log is just full of the same message over and over. Rebooting it'd probably correct the issue. If you find a reliable way to reproduce it, let me know and I'll take a closer look why

Hi,

I just thought I'd post to say I'm having the exact same problem.

Since I installed XRecord yesterday, every one of my recordings have failed except one.

I came to my computer this morning, saw that this had happened, and then saw this post. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I rebooted as suggested, and I had a show scheduled to record at 14:00. Right at 14:00, the same error as the post above started appearing in the logs.

The main reason I want XRecord is so I can record on all channels, and also by partial title.

I've attached whatever logs I think would be relevant if it helps. I've also attached my Access database. I noticed this was 32 MB. I've just stopped the recording service and gbpvr, compacted the database, and started up again. The database is now 3MB. The problem is exactly the same. If anybody could help me out I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,
Eoghan.

OK - it works now.
Here is what I did to "fix" it -
1. Completely un-installed GBPVR & deleted the GBPVR directory.
2. Re-installed GBPVR and the plugins - including XRecord.
3. Scheduled the recordings & ran Priorityrecordings.exe

Another thing I did different this time was that when I scheduled the recordings through XRecord, I specified the capture source as #1 in XRecord (it is under "Power" options in the Advanced scheduler.
I have a feeling this last thing was really all I needed to do, but hey, if it works, I'll take it.

Hope this helps...Smile
