Search TV Guide by Actor/Actress?

I saw this feature advertised on TiVo's website for their product, and I know that all the actor/actress information is included in the standard Zap2it feed... Is there a way in GBPVR to search for programs by this data?

For example, sometimes favorite actors are guests on talk shows, and I may want to know about those as well as their standard program.

I just discard the actor/actress info, so this functionality is not available in GB-PVR. I think some plugins may offer this.

I couldn't find any plugins on the main GBPVR wiki page that added this functionality, is there somewhere else you or anyone else knows of that I could look?

Sorry, to be more verbose, I did find the XRecord plugin that added some other features, but it didn't add searching by actor/actress.

You might be out of luck then. I thought it provided this, but I hadnt tried it myself.

I'm pretty sure one of the plug ins does, I was looking at the actor list the other day and clicked on something that showed the films that I had that they were in.

Sorry, can't be more specific right now, i'm 3000 miles from home and can't be bothered to fire it up remotely just to answer that one.

You can search for an actor in the Avanced Web Interface IE: got to Episode Search, check description, enter actors name and it will bring up all shows/movies with that actors name in the description. Standard Zap2it guide.

If you have the XRecord plugin enabled, it includes XGuide (formerly Guide2J) The Yellow button flips through attributes to search by (Title, Description, etc.) and Cast is one of the options.
