I cannot seem to achieve sound.

Greetings. I am currently running GB-PVR on a Pentium 4 2.4, 512mb ram, Windows xp, Audigy 2 zs.


The video I have working fine. My remote and blaster are also working okay. There's still a couple things that I need to work out in the software but that is for other threads

I can't get sound.. No matter what I do, or where I plug in the sound input, I cannot get sound. The audigy drivers are successfully installled and I could play a sound clip or something like that but that's about it. Help?

Edit: Just tried adding a sound file to the media library and it played fine.

Edit2: Whoops, I had optical out set when it was connected to my sound system... I'm going to miss that Does GB-PVR support 5.1?

With the right codecs and settings. Search for "5.1" or "5.1 dvd playback" on the forums. I only got mine to work last night (with creative 5.1 PC speakers using the AC3 filter and setting it to 5.1SW out)

Audigy 2 ZS, Star choice reciver with Surround Sound out, 9600xt, Logitech Z5500 5.1 Surround Sound speakers.

Edit: Also, is there a way to get say, a preview window in the TV Guide? Say in the top left hand side that displays what channel you're on. Also, is there a way to get the FULL guide to come up when I hit guide on my 150 remote? I don't like that little mini guide.

If you feel like getting 5.1 setup look on the wiki for 'codecs'. This post has some info on 5.1 enocder passthrough. If thats what you want

You can get the full TV guide from the main menu. Cant comment further (dont have a 150 and there is no guide button on my rc :p .
