Convert AVI to MPG

mpg's be deleted after the conversion (stupid thing 2). Does anyone know of a good program that can convert the avi's back to mpg's so I can watch them through gbpvr? I downloaded AVI to MPEG Converter, but Stupid

Mencoder works fine and it's fast.

You can use this script to convert to mpeg.

It will even cut the commercials out of you desire (Provided you have an edl file generated by comskip or showanalyzer) but it's not required. Once setup just drop a video on the script and it should transcode automatically. Set the script for mpeg output.

That did it. Thanks so much for the help. Videora was so easy to use. One click and the file was converted back to mpg. It wasn't perfect, but was much better than waiting for reruns!
