Hauppauge PVR-150 remote and HIP

I recently purchased the WinTV-PVR-150 w/ remote (NOT the MCE) and set up GBPVR. Have to say I'm loving it. But, I'd like to use HIP so I can map the buttons on the remote to do the things I want. However, everywhere I look all the refrences to HIP are for the MCE remote or other USB remotes. Does HIP work with the NON-MCE remote that comes with the Hauppauge PVR150? and if so can someone point me in the right direction?

Also, if HIP can't work with this remote is there another way to map the buttons? I've been searching for days and just can't find anything.

You can edit the irremote.ini to get remote to do lots of stuff. Search this forum and google. I found ways to reconfig the remote for different app's as as well as adding buttons that don't exist on the remote. This is useful if you decide to change over to a universal remote.
