I know my current one is 24088 because that's what I recently downloaded! I have a few others and differentiate these by their dates.
C2Duo E8400, 4GB, GE8600GT, PCH A-100, HVR2200, NPVR 1.5.31, Win 7 x64.

I put a Table on http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FAQ/MVP (3/4 down page) a while ago, but I need to update it for latest incarnations such 24088.

Luckily, sub has (since 97.7) been naming the non-default ones for clarity, but presumably leaves the default one at dongle.bin

I now name all mine dongle_XYZ, where XYZ is the reference number. Means you can happily SWITCH between them w.o having to overwrite rename and work out which is which from dates and size.

Do I have to copy the dongle bin file to the MVP program folder or do I just change the dongle file in the GBPVR setup?

GBPVR v1.16 on Compaq P4 2.9 mhz, 1024mb, 200gb
Hupp. WinTV USB2, MVP direct connect via 100mb cross-over cable
Pc also acts as web server (using Badblue p2p swr) with USB WIFI and can be remotely accessed via UltraVNC

If the dongle version you want to use is available in the drop down menu in config, then just change the dongle file in the GBPVR setup (and pull the plug on the MVP).

If it is NOT available e.g. new or old dongle you wish to try, then extarct the dongle.bin (ONLY) from the Hauppage exe, rename it to e.g. dongle_VERSIONNAME.bin and copy or move it into the dir C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\dongle.

This is teh easiest way, then you can keep track of dongles. You CAN copy the dongle.bin file to the gbpvr dongle folder (NOT MVP FOLDER) and overwrite teh one there BUT then that version is gone... If you elect to do this, rename the CURRENT one to e.g. dongle_gbpvr97.9_native.bin or something like that.

[EDIT: Wiki Table Updated]

On their WEB page they have a formal production release of 'MediaMVP version 3.2 for the wired and wireless MediaMVPs' The version is 32_24142b. It's not on their FTP. When installed it warns that this still is a beta....

Probabaly have to update your WIKI table once more.

I doubt it ... :-)

According this feedback, it sucks.

Thanks for the reference. I should have looked there first. After testing I have to agree it is a problematic release not worth further consideration.
