Recordings not displaying information on osd during playback

Hi! This is my first posting on here and I just wanted to say what a great program this is. Very cool.

I am having a problem that just seemed to crop up today. When I am watching a recording, if you pause it or hit the blue button, the OSD is not showing the program information. The OSD just shows the file name. This is strange because earlier this week I was watching some stuff and it was showing this information. Also, the information does show up on the recording screen before I choose "play" to watch the video.

Any ideas? I suppose this information is stored in a database somewhere? I checked the OSD skin.xml and it does have the @currentVideoTitle and such entered in it. Also, I ran EPGExtra. Maybe that screwed up the listings somehow? I tried updating the EPG but that didn't seem to help at all.

Where are you playing the video from - the recordings screen, or video library, or some other plugin?

The XRecord screen. Hey, I just tried watching something from the normal "Recordings" menu and the OSD displays the information properly, although a few recordings show up as "failed". Strange. So the problem probably lies with XRecord?

K, thanks! I take it XRecord just doesn't have that functionality? Bummer, it's kind of nice to have the titles and descriptions on screen like that.

I dont know, I'm never used it. You could try posting the question in the 'plugins and skins support' forum. It could certainly display this info if the author wanted to.
